ALLOY BTA SHACKLES

Hardware

are high-capacity, heavy-duty load-connecting fittings constructed from heat-treated quenched and tempered alloy steel, featuring an anchor bow body combined with a bolt, nut, and secondary cotter pin retention system engineered for permanent installations, critical lifting, and heavy multi-leg rigging where pin rotation under load is expected.

  • Utilizes a threaded load bolt, heavy hex nut, and stainless steel cotter pin to form a fail-safe mechanical lock that prevents the pin from unscrewing or rotating loose under dynamic friction or vibration.

  • Heat-treated alloy steel construction (Grade 8 / Grade 10 equivalent) delivers significantly higher Working Load Limit (WLL) ratings in a compact footprint compared to standard carbon steel shackles.

  • Deep omega/anchor bow geometry comfortably accommodates multiple sling legs, crane hooks, or synthetic roundslings without crowding or side-loading binding.

  • Manufactured, proof-tested, and permanently stamped with forged WLL, trace code, and angle indicators in accordance with ASME B30.26 and Federal Specification RR-C-271 (Type IVA, Class 3).
