ROMOR I Stave Bearings

ROMOR I water-lubricated stave bearings are engineered for low friction, silent operation and long life, and are found on most U.S. Navy surface ships and submarines.

Glass-smooth nitrile rubber facing reduces start-up and running friction.

Unbreakable UHMW polymer alloy backing is lightweight and corrosion resistant.

Hydrodynamic design rejects grit and minimizes bearing and journal wear.

Design

Application

Propeller shaft bearings for naval, commercial and workboat propulsion, including gritty or dirty water.

Installation

Radius-backed staves install in round-bore stern tubes and can be fitted without removing the bearing housing.

Approvals

ABS type approval and RINA certification.
